To share ideas and get an overview of what you are looking for we will discuss your session over the phone and may have another quick chat before your shoot. Our aim is to create images of individuals, to suit you.

OUTFITS

Ideally bring two outfits for each child to get some variety to the colours and patterns and also in case of accidents for the smaller ones!

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL YOU TAKE?

It depends on a number of different factors, but we'll usually end up with 30 or so really good ones, although I might take quite a few more on the day.

HOW LONG DOES THE PHOTOSHOOT LAST?

It's obviously important your children don't get bored, so we try to keep the shooting for each child in each scene to 5-10 minutes. Then we'll give them a short break while we change the lighting, background or setting. The whole session should be done in around 1 hour for studio shots, a bit longer if we do studio and outdoors. I've got lots of toys to play with too!

WHEN DO I GET TO SEE THE PHOTOGRAPHS?

All images are downloaded during the shoot and you will be able to see them during and also at the end of the session. You will be able to choose your favourites and exchange opinions.

HOW DO I GET MY PHOTOGRAPHS?

Prints will normally arrive 3-4 days after you order them. Electronic images can either be emailed if there are only a few, or put on a CD if there are more, for you to be able to print your images yourself, send them to friends etc.

CAN YOU DO BLACK AND WHITE, OR SEPIA, OR OTHER EFFECTS?

Of course! I normally supply all photographs in two versions (colour and black and white) at no extra charge. Other options such as black and white with "spot colour" or sepia are also available: please ask. Images are also saved in a smaller size for use on the internet, Facebook etc.

DO YOU AIRBRUSH PHOTOS?

Yes, but gently, for all the photos I take. My general rule is that I'll remove anything temporary like scratches, spots or fluff, but anything permanent stays, unless you ask otherwise. All images will be adjusted to optimise contrast and colour.

WHAT IS MY LITTLE ONE IS OFF FORM ON THE DAY?

Don’t worry, you are in very good hands, and I've seen it all before! In some cases it just doesn't work, in which case we can reschedule for a better day.
